Worth every penny
I finally added the Honshu karambit to my collection and was not disappointed. The knife is larger than most karambits but that's a good thing because I'm a large guy and fits great in my hands. The weight feels good and with a little sharpening, could be an awesome blade. Single edge blade, rubber molded on grip and a hard sheath/harness. The harness is quite pointless however it can be made into a good hip holster/sheath with a little creativity so do keep it. For the money, it's a great knife!

Holster issue
I like the knife and with a little bit of sharpening, it is very nice. The holster is in question. If you are right handed, no matter what configuration, it is difficult to get the knife out of the holster. With the curve of the knife, it is very unwieldy to draw the knife from the holster and it is almost as if it is designed for a left handed draw which is not the best if you are right handed. I also felt the clamp to the belt was cheap and designed like a suspender. I replaced it with a decent piece and belt loop like a pistol holster. It is more secure and I had a seamstress put a magnetic snap to allow for a more custom way to allow for different carry options.

Great Karambit!
Awesome knife that's well made. Feels indestructible! Ultra sharp out of the box. Comes with a kydex scabbard that holds very well. Overall a wonderful buy!

Great knife, looks good and is sharp out of the box, but the harness is awful. Would defientaly recommend this blade to anyone that like knifes.

Great knife for self defense or utility. The sheath with it also has belt loops so you can wear it on your belt if you don't want to use the shoulder rig. I love the knife and I am very happy with it. Shoulder rig isn't as bad as people say and it's quite comfortable but I prefer to where it on my belt. I would recommend this knife to anyone from a martial artist, a security gaurd or someone who will only use it to cut boxes.

I like the blade, it seems sturdy. However my problem with this product lies in the shoulder strap. Its awkward and is not the one displayed in the picture or on the box. There is no strap that continues under the arm to attach back to the knife, the strap ends with the loop to the other arm. so while still functional, i feel it is not as sturdy as it could be. Also due to the shape of the blade, you can not draw the knife with your right hand as stated from another review, and when you do draw with your left it feels awkward and it comes out backwards where as the blade is pointed towards yourself and the finger grip is in your palm instead of your fingers. I am assuming this is because they assume you are drawing with your right hand not your left, but due to the lefty harness, its backwards. And you cant just switch the sheath to your right side because the blade pulls out left: again the awkward draw. I believe the sheath design and knife are just not compatible, no matter which way you place it, the design of the knife makes any draw an awkward and backwards one. An easier draw for this blade would be a cross draw at the waist like a sword, or a draw at the outer thigh like a pistol holster. But then you loose the concealment factor, guess its just not the right type of knife to do a shoulder harness.

Great Knife
This knife is awesome! The shoulder holster is pretty much junk. So that's why I gave it only four stars. The knife is razor sharp out of the box. Fits my hand like it was made just for me. This knife has moved up to almost number one for me.

Great blade
Great blade for self defense. Blade came sharp and the all black look is great for concealment. Only set back is the sheath seems to be cheap plastic. Also don't think I would ever use the shoulder harness. Coming across my body to grab my knife doesn't really sound to ideal. Not like it's a katana
