Description

Sting™ was a short sword forged by the Elven smiths of Gondolin in the First Age. It was given to Frodo Baggins in Rivendell by his cousin Bilbo, the original Ringbearer, who named it Sting. It was discovered by Bilbo in a troll hoard along with the swords Glamdring™ and Orcrist™. Sting served Frodo on his harrowing journey to destroy the One Ring™, and Frodo’s companion Samwise Gamgee used it to severely wound the great spider Shelob in Cirith Ungol. Sting's blade glows blue when Orcs, the violent foot soldiers of Sauron™, are present. Engraved on the blade and crossguard are runes in the Elven language of Sindarin that say "Sting is my name, I am the spider's are bane". This authentically detailed knife replica is a reproduction of an actual filming prop used in THE LORD OF THE RINGS™ trilogy of films presented by New Line Cinema. Sting has an overall length of 22”. It features a 15” stainless steel blade engraved with Sindarin script, and a solid metal guard and pommel. Each knife is presented with a wood wall display and certificate of authenticity.

I bought this for my little brother for Christmas, and he wouldn’t stop quoting Frodo the entire day. Great design, not sharp, but an edge could be easily put on it, great decorative piece.

dissspointed

Overall quality made item. However, the hilt makes the sword look cheap. Faux painted grain and silver vine design is painted on. I would gladly have paid more for a metal or pewter inlay of the vines on the hilt. Fairly priced for what you get. I bought the sheath as well and am quite happy with it.

Amazing piece!

This thing is just PERFECT! The tip is sharper than any knife I've ever owned and the blade is just shy of razor sharp. This thing probably would take down a troll to Shelob the Great!!!

If you are a LOTR fan, this is a must buy! Two thumbs up
