Very hard to open

I thought this was a really good idea so I grabbed it. It came in the mail and I opened it it spins nice however the mechanism that keeps it close required two hands to open. I need to pry the locking mechanism and push the thumb tab down. If anyone knows a thick to get it to open like the guy on the video please let me know.
