Sword cleaner
My son loved it. I’m glad you had one. He is a hard to buy for. So thank you. I had enjoyable experience ordering and received on time. Be seeing you next year.

Beautiful
The box was a little damaged, but everything inside was perfect.
Has restored every sword I own to presentation level, even my Odachi!
This kit really helps you bond with your sword, something anyone who owns one should learn.

Something I should have bought a long time ago
Instructions included are easy to use and understand. All listed tools included worked amazingly well. Powder ball makes a bit of a mess on first use, though, so I recommend using it either outdoors or room with hard-surface floors. In the future, I plan to buy another kit when needed. :)

Decent
The only problem I have with this kit is that when it arrived the uchiko was kind of spilling and the choji oil looked a little unprofessional but overall good the hammer and awl were of good quality and so was the oil the uchiko was starting too lose powder but not horribly the rice paper was not great but it's alright you can just as easily buy it at a store but it was high quality rice paper
I do recommend this if you want everything to be higher quality but replacements can be common in most houses like mineral oil/is basically choji oil but it is still good

not quite what you think
It came with only one piece of rice paper, no plastic container and one cloth that I did not know how i could clean the cloth so I used it to apply oil and threw it away, everything else was there. I recommend buying a kit like this just for the awl and hammer and uchiko (powder ball). Just use a rag to wipe off old oil and powder and use a paper towel to wipe on regular mineral oil ( choji oil is 99% mineral oil and 1% clove for fragrance) so yeah just grab mineral oil at a local store.
Response: Thank you for that information, we have updated information to fix this.

While the kit itself is very useful and has made my swords look brand new, you could easily look up how to clean a sword online to find a cheap way with the same effect. However, the materials that are listed are in the kit (besides a list of instructions, which would have been useful) and work like they should.

kit as described except no plastic container for the oiled rag. It did come with a cloth which was not in the description. It did make my sword shinny like new!!

Write a Review Shinwa Sword Cleaning Kit
Mine came with no instructions. I have little to no idea how to use this. But other than that it looks nice and the rice papers are a large piece of cloth.

Good Kit, Bad(ish) experience
The kit seems overall pretty nice, I don't have any others to compare it to. It does it's job and looks good doing it. I only have one complaint with it (thus the 4 stars) is that the lid on my chojil oil was screwed on too tight breaking the top of it and leaking oil all over during shipping. Luckily, the oil did not get on anything but the instructions (still readable) and the box.
