This expertly crafted tachi features a 28 1/2” blade, hand-forged from 1045 high carbon steel, showcasing the outstanding quality produced by time-honored forging methods. The handle is wrapped in faux rayskin with brown cord, providing a traditional and comfortable grip. The pewter-colored metal alloy tsuba, paired with a brass habaki, adds an elegant touch that complements the sword's overall design. The sword comes with an orange lacquered sheath that includes a koshiate (sword hanger) for authentic display or wear. fairly sharp out of the box, just took a couple of light hone stroke to perfect it.
