The handle is traditionally, hand-wrapped in bright purple cord and the black, circular tsuba has an open-work design. The blade slides smoothly into its black lacquered, purple speckled scabbard, which has purple cord-wrap to match the handle. The sword also comes with a cloth storage bag.
