Description

This authentically detailed replica is a reproduction of the actual filming prop built by Weta Workshop of New Zealand and used in the motion picture, THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY. It has been meticulously recreated using only the finest grade materials and craftsmanship. Close attention to detail was a top priority. The blade of Orcrist features a curved leaf shape on one side, and a straight edge on the other, a fitting design for a blade meant to cleave Orcs and Goblins. Adorning the pommel is an emblem of the heraldry of Ecthelion of the Fountain. The hilt is shaped from the tooth of a dragon. It is unknown if the tooth was acquired prior to the fifth battle of the First Age, or added to the sword with the inscription in the millennia after the Fall of Gondolin, most likely by the Dwarves of the North.

Classic

Orcrist is the flagship sword from The Hobbit and this replica does it justice. The blade and cross guard are literally a larger version of Sting with one edge, while the hilt is a dragon tooth. I love the way it was made to match Sting and if you own both swords, there's nothing quite like mounting them side by side. Well done, United.

perfect for DS

This sword is perfect for late night DS travel. It's sweeping blade cuts through posts, and is highly recommended by noted swordsmen such as Scipio, and Brewmaster. TxHannah found it hard to wield due to the weight, but she is much more deadly with a porcelain bowl anyway......

Thorin's sword

This is the first sword that I have ever purchased (I am 14 and had to save and work for it) and I thought this one should be this it. I am a big fan of all the movies and I love this sword!! The grip on it is fantastic. I don't know why some people complain about how they can "tell it is plastic". It seems fine to me! :) It will look nice on my wall. I love the blue highlight on it and it is a very good replica. When I save up again, I think I will add 'the foe hammer', and after that, Sting. To go in order of appearance of course, though Thorin picks up Glamdring first. I really like the runes in scripted in the sword and the overall quality. It is in a class of it's own! I urge you to but it!!!!!!!!!!
