Description

The M48 Tactical Survival Hammer is the perfect companion for hiking and camping. With a 37 3/8" overall length, it's great as a walking staff, and the cast stainless steel, black oxide-coated head can pound practically anything into submission with ease. The curved back spike is an effective breaching tool and a great defensive alternative to the stout hammerhead. The spike and hammer together make an excellent handle for a fully functional walking cane. The 30 percent fiberglass handle is nearly indestructible, and the hammerhead is attached to it with metal bolts. The shaft includes a rubber toe on the end for improved traction.

Lasted about 1 year.

Best cane I’ve ever owned. I’ve used it to dig, split and break up wood for the fire, even to pry of my muffler. But, the rubber staff (Handle.) only breaks because the Metal Head breaks where the Jackson (?) screws holes are (Where they secure the staff & the Head together. Straight on hits are good. Just make sure it doesn’t side smack something or put to much force behind an angled hit or it will snap. Because of this weakness I fell that it could be a little less expensive. But, the wow factor does it justice.

It broke

Most forum reveiws on it war about it breaking, even Youtuber Tactical used it and he broke it while recording the head is amazing but the handle is nigh useless

War Hammer!

This is absolutely worth every penny. First thing I did was smash bricks and various other things! The way the head is attached is awesome. Super secure and after an afternoon of smashing things it never came loose.

Why a fiber glass handle?

Fiber glass can itch and sting really bad, but other then that this thing looks super awesome.

Looks Badass

I bought it for a walking stick. I have not had to use it yet for self-defense, but I am certain that one good whack from this thing will do the job. Negatives: the handle feels to small and light, creating a balance issue. But, for a walking stick it is ok. Also, unlike the small tactical warhammer, the spike in this one is not sharp. I have both, the hand-held, smaller hammer had a lethal spike on it. This one -the larger one - is not nearly as ominous. I would not go into battle with it, but I will walk around the neighborhood with it. As always, shipping was very fast.

HEAD TO HEAVY FOR THE BASE

Thought this would make a viable cane for walking at night where a little "help" might be in order. Hard to make anyone beleive it is just a cane; too long for my 5'8" body and the top is much too heavy to be supported by the shaft which is attached. If one does not hit perfectly, the shaft will snap

Great hammer

Ive seen a few reviews saying this hammer isnt good because the handle breaks under the tang but i bought one and it is awsome ive hit and broke concrete, cinder blocks, bricks, and a few house hold appliances, and even broke down a couple of smaller sized tree. It works good as a walking cane and it is very strong ive over striked it a few times and its fine. If you are thinking of buying it do it.
