The self-cocking mechanism makes the M48 Hell Hawk Assault Crossbow Pistol one of the easiest and most accurate of its kind out on the market today. The crossbow is constructed of a heavy-duty plastic and the limbs are a lightweight fiberglass. It features a unique, textured TPR grip and the adjustable buttstock will increase the overall length of the crossbow from 22” to 24 2/5”. There is a fiberoptic front sight and an elevation adjustable and removable rear sight to keep things in shooting line. The crossbow pistol has a Picatinny rail on top and on the bottom, where a removable handgrip is attached, giving you the ability to attach your own accessories. With a draw weight of 80 lbs and a 6” power stroke, the crossbow will send aluminum bolts at a velocity of up to 185 fps. The 16 1/2” wide, self-cocking crossbow pistol also has an automatic safety and it comes with three 6 1/2” aluminum bolts.

Locking mechanism broke. Are there any replacement parts.

Very good product... Breaks after 40 shots

Excellent design, wonderful accuracy. Lightweight, fun to shot. However, after 40 or so shots the spring-loaded latch (detail, that needs to be depressed before cocking to release the charging arm, and that latches onto the receiver and holds charging arm with a stock attached in-line after the crossbow is cocked) - brocked. Numerous attempts to fix it failed (I'm a bit of a gunsmith myself, building and fixing rifles). The reason? - this particular detail is made of plastic, and it , most definitely, should be made of aluminium, or, at least, composite. The crossbow is still shootable, but the shooter should hold the stock and charging arm with his hand on the handle - otherwise, it's loose. Quite a bit of frustration. Another frustration - I'm unable to locate M48 website, much less their customer service , to ask for replacement part. Any advice?
