Yes it's true! There's a reason the
Ka-Bar brand is still the preferred knife of the U.S. Military. As most are familiar with Marine and U.S.N. versions, the U.S. Army and the U.S.AF. also have versions manufactured to their specifications. Yes it is true that these knives are expensive, but bear in mind if you buy one, you are buying one of the finest fighting knives made IMO. Buy with confidence that this knife will not fail you when you need it!

KA-BAR 1213 Plain Edge - Excellent!
This KA-BAR plain-edged 7-inch knife, stamped "USA 1211", but sold as "1213" with the nylon sheath, came sharp right out of the box. Also, the handle has an oval profile, which fits the hand better and is more comfortable. I prefer this model over the traditional model with a leather-stacked handle and leather sheath. I highly recommend this knife.

strongest knife i have ever seen
I have wanted a kabar for over 20 years and when i finally got one, it was worth every penny i had to pay for it. I now keep it in my go kit for emergency use because i know it'll never fail me.
