Needs to be sharpened

Mine came super dull. I fixed it but it took some effort to sharpen. The design is awesome and feels comfortable. The sheath is good as well. Once you sharpen the blade this knife is a beast.

Good Little Blade

I ordered both the polished and the black Hibbon Claw II. This review is for the black one. The Sheath is good and holds the knife well. The snap closure does not actually hold the blade in, I can pull it out without unsnapping the closure, but have to unsnap it to re-sheath. The blade will not fall out even though the closure is not tight. The belt clip is very tight and holds the sheath securely on my belt. Now for the knife: The black one was significantly less sharp than the polished one, so much so that it was basically useless until I sharpened it. It is NOT difficult to sharpen as some reviews stated. It takes a little work and patience but it is not difficult. Once I got it sharpened it was a handy little blade and with the sheath, it conceals well. The blade itself feels very solid and the finish was nice and smooth, no rough edges, no tool markings, just a well finished piece. And for the price, and a few minutes sharpening, how could you go wrong?

A little small

Out of the box this knife was very dull. But after thinking about it I'm glad it was. That gave me the option to sharpen it the way I wanted it. It's to small for my hands but fits my girlfriends hands perfect. Oh and John form NNJ. The top edge as you call it should never be sharp. It's a striking edge. The inside edge should be razor sharp. Go on you tube and let someone show you how to use a karambit. I say Gil Hibben made a homerun for the women on this one.

Great little blade

These are great little Karambits. I have a few - sure the don't all come sharp, but it isn't that difficult to fix with some patience, a round file and a round diamond. It isn't meant to be a EDC chore blade, it has only one real purpose. I will say that the top point at the end of the top edge - right by the thumb ramp is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to the user. File it down to a smooth transition. Otherwise your thumb will slide just a little at some point and you will slice it wide open.

disappointed

Got it the other day. The shipping was no problem, the knife on the other hand was. It couldn't cut butter. Extremely dull. Karambit's are a pain in the ass to sharpen so it kinda sucks. The knife is cool dont get me wrong but it's gonna take some work to get sharp.
