So real it is scary
I have been looking at this pistol for some months and finally ordered one after reading all of the reviews online.
Watching Westerns you can be right in the scene with a Colt that feels EXACTLY the same as an old west gun. The weight, the size of the grips and most importantly the feel of the action!
The action is silky smooth, it even has the Colt signature (3 clicks) during the cocking action. There is one small draw back in the fact the hammer always sits partially open, It is at the position the original colts did when at the safety position. No big deal for me. I will honestly tell you with eyes closed it is hard to tell the Air model and the real powder weapon, also the CLICK--CLICK--CLICK sound of cocking not only feels but sounds the same.
This could easily be worn in a non firing Western meet. The Brass bb holders fit exactly like a .357 shell does. It comes with 6 BB .177 shells which load in the back of the shell, and Silver shells to fire pellets as an option. I have found both sets for under $12.00 for a set of 6 on both. You will probably wish to order extras. Accuracy is better than my Beeman Red Dot .177 Caliber Air Pistol! If they gave 4 1/2 stars I would choose it due to the hammer not fully closed, but everything else about the pistol is so very good I am going with 5 Stars..
If you like to sit and enjoy the silky action of a real Colt Peacemaker or even the old Ruger 3 screw pistols before they RUINED them by changing the action and safety, this is for you.
I am not kidding this FEELS and looks like the real deal.
Tomorrow I have a gunfight scheduled on Gunsmoke....lol
