Description

It's fierce and mean so it has to be Black Legion. The Warrior Kama looks exactly like it means business and it does with its 14 1/2" black coated stainless steel blade. The black cord-wrapped handle gives you a secure grip and you will be surprised at how light and easy to carry it is. A nylon sheath houses the blade.

great for the price

I actually ordered 2 of these kamas and they are very well made: the handle wrapping is comfortable and the only thing I needed to do was extend it a bit further down the handle and the blade was visually appealing. I only had to perform a few minor improvements like giving the blade a bit more straightness with a wooden block and adding a sharper edge with my belt grinder. Overall these are excellent and only required very minor alterations to make them perfect. I would recommend them highly.

Sturdy

Bought for clearing shooting lanes of brush, ended up using them to strip a downed tree and they held up great. Blades didn't dull after numerous hacks and they cut into the wood better than hatchets. Would definitely recommend.

It is what it is.

If you are wanting a weapon, something that will last and not let you down, pass on this. If you want something to mess around in the back yard, pick one up. I bought 2 because they are funny to play with.

Intimidation factor is high

In Japan I practiced with agricultural kama.. Light and just a bit fragile, they were impromptu weapons at best. (A historical truth as well) on returning to the US a friend gave me some "competition" kama. These were pretty, but wouldn't take an edge and the steel would bend in your hands. Bought these thrifty little beauties a few months back and they have passed their field test with flying colors. These are real weapons. Good weapons. Firepower to dollar ratio is high and intimidation factor is off the charts. These make my Kata far more fierce, more visually impressive than the "pretty" competition version. These are combat ready and I give them my highest endorsement.

Was expecting better.

My only problem with the kama is that point of the blade arrived dull and rounded out. I was expecting a sharp and deadly weapon right out of the box. Now I have to grind out the point myself. The blade also came covered in fingerprints. Other than that's it's a decent buy for 12 dollars.

Good balance

I was rather surprised when I got it. Better than the picture. All I need to do now is add some electrical tape for better grip. I like to get up close and personal when I hunt mammals, and this is going to werk perfectly. Thank you!

These things are NASTY!

Bought two of them simply because you HAVE to have 2 kamas...they're a dual-wield sort of weapon... First off...I HATE the cheap, fake paracord wrapping...it's not real paracord, it's just crappy to the feel. No big deal though, I'll remove it and use real paracord or perhaps leather to wrap it properly. As far as the weapon itself...very light, very quick...the blades are big and sharp, they'd do a world of damage to flesh. Interesting curvature to the handles...most kamas are straight sticks...these curve very ergonomically...they fit comfortably when holding it from the lowest point of the handle as well as when you choke up on it. AND AWESOME at being completely full tang, one piece of metal throughout...have always avoided buying kamas because I've always feared ending up with a cheap set and having that blade fly dangerously out of the wood as some accidental point. That can NEVER happen with these. Great buy!!!

Scary!!!

This Kama looks painful. I wouldn't use this on my worst enemy. In fact I would rather be killed by a katana then this kama. Over all its built well and battle ready. Comes nice and sharp, weighs less then the m48 kama. I have two of those as well. I love the handle shape. It is curved so you could hold it at the bottom for reach or choke up at the cure at the top for better control. Overall a good buy for the money.
