Description
The first Pepperbox Revolvers originated in the 1500s and used matchlock mechanisms. With the advent of pin-fire cartridges, the pepperbox regained some popularity in the late 1800s as a small, concealable weapon. Pietta’s replica 1851 Navy “Yank” Pepperbox is a .36 caliber black powder pistol that shoots directly out of the six-shot, 3” cylinder (no barrel). It has a casehardened steel frame with genuine walnut grips and a brass backstrap and trigger guard.
