Probable Issue Problems.

This is a extremely beautiful folding knife, I don't see this as a cutting knife but as a piercing dagger. I have no issues with this knife that the others are complaining about. That being said, I can see from the way this knife is put together that their issues are more than likely probable. I my self love this Damascus folding dagger and will continue to show it off, and perhaps sell it for a fare price. Thank you Daniel of Nebraska.

noooooo!!!!!

Do yourself a favor and (¡¡¡DO NOT!!!) buy, it is a letter opener. Nothing more junk blade no edge on it whatsoever, they pay you to take it.

Great knife

Knife is beautifully made, and wonderfully presented. With only a bit of a wiggle between the body and the blade. Excellently done.

needs work

It is a OK knife at best. It looks good at a distance but only at a distance. The person who made my knife was not good at it at all. first, he blade is very tough to open and the act of opening and closing it has put scratches on the blade its self. Second, the blade is not uniform to the least of bit. The blade at the bottom is very sharp but as it goes up the angle increases till it is almost rounded and to top it off, there is no top. It looks like it was never pit on because it is a perfect flat square. Third, it come to me with rust already on it despite being warped in paper and oil. Forth, the person who did the inlay work could not use a hammer properly and there are hammer dints in the wood. I am very disappointed with you Timber Wolf for making such a low quality of knife and still had to pay $55+S&H.

beautiful but defective

I received this knife as a Christmas gift from my wife, it's a beautiful piece and the damascus pattern is very well done but when the blade is folded it is impossible to open without pliers. I've tried applying 3 in 1 oil but it hasn't helped. I'm hoping it can be exchanged and it's just a fluke. if so I will post another review

Impressed

the only issue I have was shipping mix up. The knife is a work of art. damascus steel is like a finger print no two are alike. the steel is mainly carbon so you have to keep the metal oiled or it will rust. I am a huge fan of Damascus steel, once you hold it you will want more. very nice knife....

What a beautiful piece.

I bought two. It's described as a gentleman's knife...it is, but I'm also giving one to my girlfriend. It fits great in her jeans It comes with an alright little leather scabbard that I'll never use. This knife has nice weight, yet it is slender and fits very nicely in my pocket. After cleaning and sharpening, These knifes are really a nice piece of work. I should really be referring to this piece as a dagger. If you don't know the difference, you may not want this. Daggers have a different feel and purpose. This particular piece is not a "working knife"... I wouldn't hit this one with a chunk of wood to cut kindling for the fire place. I use my KaBars for that. It's a very well crafted show piece. You can see the pride in workmanship. Being shipped and covered in oil is NOT a drawback. The old M-1 carbines were shipped in cosmoline (try cleaning that mess) to protect them from the weather during shipping and storage. These knives are shipped with the same pride and care. If you know and collect knives, then I would add this to my collection. I now carry this one in my pocket and the KaBar on my belt.:)

Is this guy crazy?

I would have to say that of all the knives I've ever owned, and a few high end custom knives, this one isn't what I expected.. I opened it and it's covered in oil. I can see the three mosaic circles in the inlaid wood are off center and on one side, it's closer to the end circle. Plus the tip of the knife is a little flat. But of all the knives I've ever had, this one deserves 5 stars because the imperfections are what make a knife unique. I don't want a knife that's just too perfect to use, and on this particular piece, everything is perfectly flush and what needs to be functional as washers for fluidity movement on the blade, well, it works just fine :) There is an abundance of materials, the brass inlay and the damascus steel itself is very pretty and is real because it won't just rub off after I play with the knife a thousand times to break it in. Everything is thick showing that they spare no expense when it comes to giving you what you paid for, and honestly, this knife should be a lot more expensive than it is being sold for. It's what people need to look for when they want to buy what they call knives which are cheap chineese imitations. This is a real knife, and it brings me back to when people had honest work for a fair price. I'd buy another knife from this maker and I'd recommend this to a friend. It's freaking flawless and very smooth in all aspects. I love the thumb stud also because it offers the option of range for your thumb to feel more secure. I wouldn't change a thing, just master this type and work on other types of metal to combine and make the damascus steel, maybe other woods that look awesome oiled, or maybe even marble. But that's hard to work with. THIS IS AN AWESOME KNIFE THANK YOU I"LL KEEP THIS FOREVER.

Shockingly Beautiful

This is an amazingly beautiful folding knife. By the way it's put together I know it is a quality piece, it's not really sharp but I don't think I would want it to be, it's just to nice to want to use. I'm betting this will move fast. I've shown it around. I don't think I'll still have it for the next show. Thank you. Daniel of Nebraska.
